In a showdown between the Houston Rockets and the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night, Dillon Brooks etched his name in NBA history by joining the elite club of players with 600 career three-pointers. The 327th player to achieve this milestone, Brooks showcased his long-range prowess, adding another feather to his cap in his seventh season in the league.

Entering the game with solid averages of 13.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.1 steals, Brooks has been a key contributor for the Rockets, who currently hold the seventh seed in the competitive Western Conference with an 8-6 record. The team is riding a two-game winning streak, having recently triumphed over the Denver Nuggets with a convincing 105-86 victory.

During the clash with the Mavericks, Brooks logged 30 minutes on the court, contributing eight points, one rebound, and two assists. Despite a 2/8 shooting performance from the field, his 2/3 accuracy from beyond the arc highlighted his proficiency in the three-point department.

Originally the 45th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft out of Oregon, Brooks spent the first six seasons of his career with the Memphis Grizzlies before making a notable move to Houston during the offseason. His experience and scoring ability have undoubtedly bolstered the Rockets’ campaign this season.

Looking ahead, the Rockets are set to face off against Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday evening, aiming to extend their winning streak and further solidify their position in the Western Conference standings.

Over 359 regular-season games, Brooks has maintained career averages of 14.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per contest. Notably, he played a pivotal role in guiding the Memphis Grizzlies to the NBA playoffs three times and boasts 22 playoff appearances in his career. As the Rockets continue to ascend, Dillon Brooks remains a key figure in their pursuit of success this season.
