Lewiston Mass ShootingOn Wednesday, a series of shootings in  Maine, left at least 22 people dead and over 50 to 60 injured. The suspect, identified as 40-year-old Robert Card, remains at large, prompting law enforcement authorities to issue a warning that he should be regarded as armed and dangerous.

A bowling alley, a local pub (Schemengees Pub & Grille Restaurant), and a Walmart distribution center were all targets of the shooting rampage. Law enforcement agencies are currently investigating the incidents, including the Lewiston Police Department and the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities imposed a city lockdown, emphasizing the seriousness of the “active shooter situation.” Residents were instructed to remain indoors. Businesses were asked to lock down or close temporarily in order to facilitate the inquiry.

The suspect was photographed by authorities wearing a long-sleeved shirt and pants and carrying a rifle in the shooting position. Law enforcement agencies are aggressively seeking public assistance in identifying Robert Card.

The community has been devastated by this tragic tragedy, prompting an outpouring of support and sympathies. As investigations continue, the objective is to protect residents’ safety and bring the offender to justice.
