In a significant political development, former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu officially joined the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) in Andhra Pradesh on December 28. The induction ceremony took place at the Chief Minister’s camp office and was attended by Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister K Narayana Swamy, and Rajampeta Lok Sabha member P Mithun Reddy.

Ambati Rayudu, known for his cricketing prowess, made the transition to politics as he embraced a new role within the YSRCP. The announcement was made on social media, with the YSRCP sharing the news of Rayudu’s joining on the platform X.

Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy personally welcomed Ambati Rayudu into the party fold by adorning him with a YSRCP scarf and expressing his support through a warm embrace. The presence of key party members at the induction highlighted the significance of Rayudu’s entry into the political arena.

Ambati Rayudu, a former member of the Indian cricket team who also showcased his talents in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and various state cricket bodies, has transitioned from the cricket field to grassroots outreach in recent times.
