In a momentous move for Bollywood enthusiasts, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s action-packed blockbuster, Tiger 3, has made its digital debut on the popular streaming platform, Prime Video. The announcement was made by Yash Raj Films on their social media handles, inviting viewers to witness the adrenaline-pumping action in the comfort of their homes.
Directed by Maneesh Sharma, Tiger 3 had a triumphant theatrical run, culminating with an impressive worldwide collection of Rs 464 crore. The film, which hit the silver screens on Diwali 2023, marked the fifth installment in Yash Raj Films’ spy universe, following the success of Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, and Pathaan.
Salman Khan took to his own social media platforms to share the exciting news, stating, “Locked, loaded and ready! Aa raha hai Tiger…” The film revolves around the dynamic duo of Tiger (Salman Khan) and Zoya (Katrina Kaif), as they combat the nefarious plans of terrorist Aatish Rehman, portrayed by Emraan Hashmi. Adding to the star-studded cast, Shah Rukh Khan makes a special appearance, enhancing the cinematic experience.
Tiger 3 achieved a remarkable box office performance, minting Rs 339.50 crore in India and a commendable Rs 464 crore globally. While the film experienced a robust start during the holiday season, mixed word-of-mouth and the concurrent Cricket World Cup impacted its chances of surpassing the coveted Rs 500 crore global mark.
Despite this, Tiger 3 secured its place as director Maneesh Sharma’s and actor Emraan Hashmi’s highest-grossing film, and the second highest for Katrina Kaif on the global stage. It also stood as the fourth highest-grossing film for Salman Khan worldwide, according to industry reports.
