The NWS has relayed its forecast on its official website, cautioning residents of Wake County, North Carolina, about the looming tornado threat. The warning is set to remain in effect until 1:00 pm (EST), urging individuals in Raleigh, NC, Wake Forest, NC, and Garner, NC, to seek shelter immediately and remain there until the warnings are officially lifted.
This alarming situation comes in the aftermath of a destructive tornado that tore through Tennessee’s Nashville, Clarksville, and various other areas, resulting in the tragic loss of six lives. Weather experts are categorizing today as an “alert day,” emphasizing that central North Carolina is currently under severe weather threat.
